Manchester Removals and storage

Welcome back to the Manchester Removals and Storage blog!

It’s been two years since our last update, and we’re excited to reconnect with our customers and share some developments in the world of removals and storage. Over the past couple of years, our industry has seen significant changes, and we’ve been busy adapting and improving our services to better serve you.

In this blog, we’ll take a look back at our journey and provide a glimpse into the future of Manchester Removals and Storage.

A Journey of Excellence: At Manchester Removals and Storage, our commitment to excellence has always been at the forefront of our operations. Our journey began with a vision to provide top-notch removal and storage solutions to the people of Manchester and its surrounding areas. Over the years, we have earned a reputation for reliability, professionalism, and customer satisfaction.

Residential Removals: Whether you’re moving to a new home across town or relocating to a different city, our experienced team is here to make your residential move stress-free. We handle everything from packing and loading to transportation and unloading, ensuring that your belongings arrive safely and on time.

Commercial Relocations: Businesses trust us for seamless office and commercial relocations. We understand the unique challenges that come with moving a business, and we’re equipped to handle the logistics, so you can focus on what matters most—your operations.

Storage Solutions: Our storage facilities offer a secure and convenient solution for your short-term and long-term storage needs. Whether you need to store household items, office furniture, or sensitive documents, we’ve got you covered.

Adapting to the Times:

The past two years have presented challenges like never before. The COVID-19 pandemic forced us to adapt our processes to prioritize safety and hygiene. We implemented sanitation measures, provided our staff with personal protective equipment, and offered contactless services wherever possible. Our commitment to your well-being remains unwavering.

Looking Ahead: As we move forward, our commitment to innovation and excellence remains stronger than ever. Here are some developments you can expect from Manchester Removals and Storage in the coming years:

  • Green Initiatives: We’re taking steps to reduce our carbon footprint by investing in eco-friendly transportation options and sustainable packing materials. Our aim is to contribute to a greener future for Manchester. Each time we fuel our vans at our local diesel bunker we contribute an additonal amount which is paid to a fund for net zero contributions. We are working towards our net zero strategy within in the next 2-3 years by renewing our older vehicles, or changind from diesel to HVO fuel.

  • Enhanced Technology: We’re upgrading our website and digital tools to provide you with a more user-friendly experience. You’ll be able to request quotes, have your queries answered, and access resources to simplify your moving and storage process via our AI chat-bot.

  • Video Surveys: Since COVID-19 we had to change the way we surveyed homes. It was not permitted to visit homes so we had to find an effective way for us to view the property, prioritising the safety of our customers and staff. We used video surveys via WhatsApp or Facetime which resolved this issue. Since this time we have adopted this as our primary method to survey a property. This has also made our operation more efficient as we no longer spend hours in traffic which is also good for the environment. As we no longer have the travel time, then we can calculate and send the quotes faster than our old method with home-visits.

Conclusion: At Manchester Removals and Storage, we’re proud of our journey so far and excited about what the future holds. We want to express our gratitude to our customers for trusting us with their removal and storage needs. As we continue to adapt and evolve, our commitment to providing you with excellent service remains our top priority. Stay tuned for more updates, tips, and insights from your trusted removals and storage partner. We look forward to serving you for many more years to come!

Covid-19 Advice for People Moving Home

By following several simple measures, you can ensure that work carried out in your home goes smoothly and safely. Communicate before work begins and keep in regular contact with your removals company in advance of any home visit to talk through details of the work being carried out and agree how risks can be reduced.

You should let them know whether anyone in your household has symptoms of the virus, and check that the removals crew is healthy too.

If you do have symptoms of the virus, or if you have been advised to shield yourself as you are classed as ‘Clinically Extremely Vulnerable” by the Government, then only emergency and essential house moves can still go ahead and you should take additional safety measures – for instance, by avoiding face-to-face contact or by staying in another room.

Take sensible precautions when work is carried out

■ Clean surfaces around the working area and in ‘high traffic’ areas such as door handles with disinfectant before, during and after work is carried out.

■ Keep internal doors open and minimise touching of door handles.

■ If work is taking place in an area you use frequently, such as the stairs or kitchen, consider ways to avoid using that space when work takes place.

■ Ask your removals men to bring their own mug, kettle or food and eat away from you, or in their van.

■ Try to avoid too much face-to-face contact with those working in your home – ideally less than 15 minutes.

■ Make sure any shared facilities, like toilets or kitchens, are thoroughly cleaned after each shift.

■ Keep children or pets in other rooms while work is carried out, where possible.

We recommend that you keep in contact with the removals company for assurances that your move day continue as planned.

Note: Effective following announcement by the Government on 30/05/2020.

Preparing for a seamless move day

Moving into a new home is an exciting time, although it can also be pretty stressful. That’s why today, we’re sharing some tips on how you can make moving day a little less hectic.

Like with most things, making a good plan is half the battle.
