Shipping an Antique Desk from Manchester to America
we were contacted by an antiques dealer in Knutsford for the collection, wrap and delivery of an antique desk to North Carolina, USA.
We arrived to collect the desk from the store, then took the desk back to the warehouse for the export wrapping service. As the desk was over 130 years old special care and attention was required during handling.
We firstly shrink wrapped the desk to ensure no drawers would open during transit, we then used bubble wrap to wrap each of the 3 sections. The sections were then placed into specially constructed heavy duty cardboard boxes, then filled with polystyrene chips.
The total time from collection to delivery on a shared load service was 12 weeks.
