Preparing to Move Home
Moving into a new home is an exciting time, although it can also be pretty stressful. That’s why today, we’re sharing some tips on how you can make moving day a little less hectic.
Make a moving plan
Like with most things, making a good plan is half the battle. Decluttering before you start packing helps make your moving load a little lighter and offers you a chance to really consider which of your belongings you really need and enjoy and which you could do without. Many charity shops will pick up bulky items like furniture from your house, making things simpler for you.
Find the right removals company
Next on your list should be finding the right moving company. Doing your research here is important. Look for reviews online and make sure to ask that your company of choice is insured should any damage happen to your belongings. Manchester Removals and Storage are insured up to £25,000 (t&c’s apply) – a higher level of cover may be taken at an additonal premium,
Pack an overnight bag
The night before, make sure to pack your essentials all in one bag. This bag should have things like phone chargers, toothbrushes and pyjamas so that you can easily crash into bed at the end of your moving day. On the day itself, get the beds set up first to make things even easier.
